Ignacio Sosa

Ignacio Sosa is a founding principal of OneWorld Investments, LP. Together with David Dali, he serves as portfolio manager for the firm’s flagship OneWorld Sovereign Growth and Income Fund I. Mr. Sosa began his career in emerging markets in 1981. He has direct hands-on experience with virtually every aspect of emerging market (EM) finance. His career has spanned the full spectrum of EM finance; from trading to sales, underwriting and derivatives. Mr. Sosa has appeared on CNBC and his opinions on EM finance have been recently published in the “Wall Street Journal”, “Institutional Investor” “Financial Times” and “Latin Finance”, Mr. Sosa was founding group head of the EM investment bank and Asia banking at BancBoston Robertson Stephens (BkB). He was also a member of the BankBoston Corporation Executive Management Group. Mr. Sosa worked closely with Mr. Dali to manage EM debt proprietary trading books that ranked among the largest of any global firm in the business. Shortly after joining BkB in 1995, Mr. Sosa was elected to the board of directors of the Emerging Markets Traders Association. Prior to joining BkB, he spent nine years at Bankers Trust in New York and Tokyo. At BT, Mr. Sosa spent five years trading EM debt and ultimately co-headed taxable fixed income sales, including EM and credit derivatives before being recruited by BkB in 1995. Mr. Sosa began his career at Bank of Boston in Boston and Buenos Aires where he spent five years before joining BT in 1986. Mr. Sosa has received his series 3, 7, 24 and 63 licenses from the NASD. He graduated with an MBA from Babson College in 1981 and a BBA from the University of Miami in 1978. Mr. Sosa is fluent in Spanish. He is a co-founder and chairman of the “Love Thy Neighbor Foundation”, a charity focused delivering food and medicine directly to the people of Cuba. He is a co-founder of the EM Charity for Children. A native of Cuba, Mr. Sosa, his wife and two children live in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

David Dali

David Dali is a founding Principal of OneWorld Investments, L.P. Together with Ignacio Sosa; he serves as portfolio manager for the firm’s flagship OneWorld Sovereign Growth and Income Fund. Mr. Dali began his career in emerging markets in 1989. His experience has been primarily in trading emerging market debt. Most recently, he co-headed the Emerging Markets Sales, Trading and Research group at BancBoston Robertson Stephens (BkB). Along with Mr. Sosa, Mr. Dali founded the group in 1995 and managed its extensive and large EM debt proprietary trading books. At BkB, Mr. Dali was responsible for global asset allocations in the firm’s proprietary trading books of EM sovereign and corporate debt. He also managed a smaller EM equity book. While at BkB, Mr. Dali employed directional, market neutral, relative value and momentum driven trading strategies. Prior to joining BkB, he managed various EM trading books for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York including that firm’s substantial book of Brazilian external debt. Mr. Dali also spent five years at Bank of America in New York, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires where he managed a diverse set of proprietary debt trading books. Mr. Dali graduated in 1986 with a BS in Commerce from Santa Clara University in California. He has received his series 3, 7, 24, and 63 licenses from the N.A.S.D. Mr. Dali is fluent in Portuguese and speaks Spanish. He lives with his wife and child in Cohasset, Massachusetts.

Jack Janasiewicz, CFA

Jack Janasiewicz is the chief strategist for OneWorld Investments, LP. He is responsible for country, currency and instrument allocation recommendations as well as investment portfolio construction. Mr. Janasiewicz began his career at State Street Bank and Trust in 1994, working in domestic fixed income mutual fund accounting. In 1995, he took a position in mutual fund accounting at Zurich Scudder Investments that focused on international fixed income and emerging markets. From there, Mr. Janasiewicz moved into investment operations at Zurich Scudder Investments where he provided support for the emerging markets fixed income management team through quantitative analysis. Then in 1997, he was promoted to Assistant Portfolio Manager, helping to oversee over $1billion in emerging market debt investments. In 2000, he was named co-portfolio manager for Zurich Scudder Investment’s emerging debt mutual funds and dedicated managed accounts as well as the international and global bond funds. He later served as chief emerging markets fixed income strategist for the North American Fixed Income Group. Mr. Janasiewicz joined Scudder in April 1995.
Mr. Janasiewicz is a chartered financial analyst and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He received a masters of arts in economics and a bachelor of arts in economics both in 1994 from Boston University. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Janasiewicz lives with his wife and child in North Reading, Ma.

Daniel Smythe works with both the existing investor base as well as potential investors. He is responsible for communications between the firm and its current and prospective investors. In this role, Mr. Smythe develops and distributes information relevant to the funds' performance as well as marketing materials associated with the presentation of the fund to the investor community. During the late 1990s, Mr. Smythe worked side by side with Mr. Dali and Mr. Sosa as Head of High Yield Sales, sharing the trading floor at BancBoston Securities. Mr. Smythe has been in the securities markets for 20 years working with most forms of debt and equity instruments. He began his career with Salomon Brothers and has worked at Kidder, Peabody, Lehman Brothers, BancBoston Securites Inc. and most recently, The Seaport Group, a distressed debt broker dealer.
Mr. Smythe received his MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business in 1984. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1979. While residing in New York and San Francisco earlier in his career, Boston has been home for Dan, his wife and three kids for the past 15 years.

Patrick Stevens

Patrick Stevens is responsible for the operations of the management company and associated investment vehicles pertaining to daily cash reconciliation and securities settlements as well as cash and position reporting, financial analysis, and overall record keeping of the management company and associated investment vehicles. Mr. Stevens has over nine years experience in EM operations. He began his career with Lehman Bothers and most recently BankBoston Securities. Mr. Stevens graduated in 1990 with a BA from Manhattan College and a MA from Adelphi University in 1992. A native of New York, he and his family live in Boston, Ma.

Serdar Saginda, CFA

Serdar Saginda is responsible for the technical and quantitative research associated with investments made in the Master Fund including overall portfolio analysis, duration and beta metrics, hedging ratio analysis, and relative value trading strategies. Mr. Saginda has over seven years experience in EM research. He developed and maintains OWI’s proprietary portfolio management models as well as the firm’s historical databases pertaining to asset prices, returns, correlations, etc. Mr. Saginda has worked as an EM analyst since 1995 and before joining OWI he was responsible for proprietary analysis within the Structured Derivatives group at BankBoston Securities. Mr. Saginda earned his MBA at Bentley College in 1995 and a BS in Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1992. He is a chartered financial analyst and holds series 4, 7, 55 and 63 licenses from the NASD. A native of Turkey, Mr. Saginda and his wife live in Boston, Ma.

Brian Hassett’s EM career dates back to 2000 where he worked in Underwriting Operations and Management Reporting at BankBoston. In addition to EM, his diversified background includes: Credit and Equity Derivatives, High Yield, Treasury, Mutual Funds and High Net Worth Individual Portfolio Operations. Mr. Hassett has received his series 7 license from the N.A.S.D. He graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University. Mr. Hassett speaks Spanish. A native of New York, he and his wife live in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Onur Aydogan

Onur Aydogan works with the investment team to develop a variety of technical and quantitative analysis to assist in the management of the hedge fund, the CBO and the managed account. Mr. Aydogan received his BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Istanbul in 2001. He earned his MBA at the University of Massachusetts in 2003, where he was also a research assistant to the Chairman of the Finance and Accounting Department at the College of Management. A native of Turkey, Mr. Aydogan also held positions at HSBC Bank, Istanbul as well as Daimler-Chrysler. Mr. Aydogan resides in Boston.
